A marriage or commitment ceremony is one of the most important rites of passage you can experience in your lifetime.  As an interfaith officiant licensed to perform weddings in Oregon, I will gently guide you into this beautiful new chapter of your life together.

The most essential element of a wedding or commitment ceremony is that it be meaningful to you.  The ceremony we will create for me to perform will be carefully designed to be about you and reflect your deepest beliefs.

The first step is for the three of us to meet together.  During this time, you may share your own personal story and your desires for your special day.

• What experiences have shaped your relationship into the beautiful union it is becoming?
• Would you like family and friends to be involved in the ceremony?

Through listening to your personal stories, I can then offer suggestions to custom tailor your wedding.

Your ceremony will be personalized to help fulfill your dreams, whether traditional or non-traditional, religious, spiritual or secular.

Commitment ceremonies

I am also happy to officiate at the commitment ceremony of gay and lesbian couples.   Together we can create a meaningful ceremony that gives you the opportunity to publicly commit to a loving relationship with each other in the presence of family and friends.

Vow renewal

A  vow renewal ceremony can help reaffirm your love and commitment to each other.  Together we can create a ceremony that is meaningful for you at this time in your life together.  You might want to include your children, write your own vows, or create a new tradition in your family.
